Frequently Asked Questions
Epoxy flooring is a durable coating made from resin and a hardener that creates a smooth, waterproof, slip-resistant, and stain-resistant surface. It can be applied to concrete or wood subfloors and is commonly used in garages, basements, retail spaces, offices, and more.
Originally a one-time experiment, our “Warehouse-Style Showroom” floors became the foundation of our flooring business. Using specialized tools, materials, self-leveling compounds, top-coats and sealers; we transform concrete or wood floors into sleek, durable surfaces with matte, semi-gloss, or high-gloss
finishes.
Looking for a high-end look without the high-end price? This is your answer.
Almost anywhere! Originally popular in garages, epoxy flooring is now used in residential, commercial, and industrial spaces, including:
● Garages, Residential, Condos, Basements
● Pool decks, Retail stores, Restaurants, Schools
● Hospitals, Showrooms, Modern office buildings, Coffee Shops
● Cost-effective: Affordable compared to other flooring options.
● Low maintenance: Easy to clean—just sweep and mop. No sanding or polishing required.
● Durable: Resistant to moisture, stains, and chemicals.
● Slip-resistant: Despite its glossy finish, epoxy provides good traction.
● Customizable: Available in endless colors, patterns, and finishes.
We don’t recommend it. Proper installation requires surface preparation, correct layering, and precise curing times to ensure longevity and durability. The equipment to do it right is expensive, and you can not purchase the correct products from the Big Box stores.
We handle all prep work, including:
● Repairing cracks, pits, and surface damage.
● Grinding or shot-blasting the floor to remove coatings and level the surface.
● Deep cleaning and vacuuming to ensure proper adhesion.
Most projects take 2 days (sometimes 3 if there are more repairs to make), depending on floor condition and chosen epoxy type. The basic process includes surface preparation, coating application, and top-coat curing.
Yes, but the existing coating must be removed first. We grind or shot-blast the floor before applying a new epoxy layer to ensure proper adhesion.
The best choice depends on your needs, budget, and style preferences. Options include:
● Showroom Warehouse: Maintains a raw, industrial look while preventing moisture issues and can be matte, semi-gloss or high-glossed finished.
● Flake Flooring: Textured, slip-resistant, and highly durable.
● Quartz Flooring: Extremely durable with antimicrobial properties.
● Metallic Flooring: Luxurious, decorative, and unique indoor-only option.
● Solid Color Flooring: A clean, timeless look with high durability.
Pricing depends on factors like floor size, surface condition, and chosen coating type. We provide on-site & phone-call assessments for estimates. But to help, they can be as low as $3.50 a square foot all the up to $13.00 a square foot.
Lower prices often mean lower-quality materials, inexperienced installation, skipping the moisture mitigation process and not grinding the floor to ensure a solid bond between the floor and the coating.
All concrete has some moisture, but excessive moisture can cause epoxy to lift. We assess and apply moisture barriers when necessary. If moisture issues are severe, polished concrete may be a better option.
Some companies use quick-dry products that cut corners, leading to lower durability. Epoxy has been used successfully for over 30 years—trust proven methods over rushed installations. Larger companies that offer these typically have dedicated “repair teams” that do nothing but fix floors. Slow down, take an
extra day and have a product that is sure to last.
